The Heartland Half Marathon and Heartland 5k race will both start at 7:30am at the Effingham High School in Effingham, IL.

The course for the half marathon leads runners through parts of town, loops back towards the High School, out towards the scenic Cross, loops out into the country and back towards the High School where runners will finish on the track.
The course for the 5k run/walk leads runners out to the scenic Cross and then back to the High School where runners / walkers will finish on the track.Water stops will be located on both courses approximately every 2 miles where water and gatorade will be available.
